Commercial Kitchen Equipment Packages Ireland

Kitting out a whole kitchen? Send us the list and you'll have prices, lead times and warranty on every item back the same working day.

Most people opening a café, takeaway, restaurant or bar in Ireland don't need one fridge. They need the fridge, the freezer, the prep counter, the ice machine, the dishwasher, the extraction, the tables and the sinks, all landing in the same fortnight so the kitchen is ready for the Environmental Health Officer and for opening day.

That's what this page is for. Below are four real package examples built from stock we actually sell, with live ex VAT prices you can click through and buy today, plus a full room by room checklist so nothing gets forgotten. Every price is ex VAT.

What we do and what we don't

Straight answer first, so you're not wasting your time.

We do: supply and deliver commercial catering and refrigeration equipment across all 32 counties, on one order, from one point of contact. Options across every brand we carry, not one house brand pushed at you. We'll price a spec list from your kitchen designer or architect line by line and tell you where a cheaper model does the same job.

We don't: design kitchens, do the ductwork, run gas or electrics, or install. If you need a designer or an installer you'll want a fit out contractor for that part, and we'll happily supply the equipment alongside them. Plenty of our customers use us exactly that way because we're usually cheaper on the box than the contractor is.

What a full kitchen actually costs in Ireland

Honest ranges based on our own listed ex VAT prices, so you can sanity check a budget before you talk to anyone.

  • Small café or coffee shop: roughly €5,000 to €12,000 ex VAT for equipment.
  • Takeaway or hot food counter: roughly €7,000 to €18,000 ex VAT.
  • 40 to 60 cover restaurant: roughly €18,000 to €45,000 ex VAT, depending on whether you go combi oven and cold room or keep it simple.
  • Pub with a food offer: roughly €7,000 to €20,000 ex VAT.
  • Hotel or larger production kitchen: €50,000 upwards.

Those numbers are equipment only. Ventilation ductwork, gas and electrical work, building work, flooring, tiling, furniture and your POS are all separate and none of them are ours. Anyone quoting you a single all in fit out figure is bundling those in, so compare like with like.

What the law actually requires you to buy

This is the bit that catches people out, and it's the reason domestic equipment fails an inspection. The Food Safety Authority of Ireland sets out the temperatures your kit has to hold:

  • Fridges and chill cabinets set so food sits between 0°C and 5°C.
  • Freezers maintained at minus 18°C or colder.
  • Hot food held above 63°C, or used within two hours of cooking.
  • Cooking to a core of 75°C, or 70°C for two minutes. Reheating to 70°C or above at the core.
  • Cooked food cooled and refrigerated within two hours.
  • A calibrated probe thermometer, accurate to at least ±0.5°C, with calibration checked twice a year and temperatures recorded.

Source: FSAI temperature control guidance. You also have to register your food business with the HSE before you start trading, not after, and an Environmental Health Officer assesses that notification. Details on the HSE's food business notification page and the FSAI registration page.

Why it matters when you're buying: a domestic fridge is built to keep food cold in a house, not to pull back down to 5°C when a busy kitchen opens the door forty times an hour in a 30°C room. Commercial refrigeration is rated for ambient temperature and holds the setpoint under that abuse. A blast chiller is the straightforward way to hit the two hour cooling rule if you batch cook. And a bain marie or hot display is how you hold above 63°C without cooking the food to death.

Tax: how much of this you get back

Worth knowing before you sign anything, because it changes the real cost of the kitchen. Please run it past your own accountant, we sell equipment, we're not tax advisers.

  • Capital allowances. Plant and machinery is normally written off at 12.5% a year over eight years. Revenue on capital allowances.
  • Accelerated Capital Allowance. Energy efficient equipment can be written off at 100% in year one instead. Two of the qualifying categories are refrigeration and cooling equipment, and catering and hospitality equipment, with a €1,000 minimum spend, and Revenue's manual states the scheme runs to 31 December 2030. The catch is the specific model has to be listed on SEAI's Triple E Register, so it's per product, never a whole category. Ask us and we'll check the model you're looking at. SEAI on the ACA.
  • VAT. If you're VAT registered you can generally reclaim the VAT on equipment bought for your taxable supplies, with a valid VAT invoice. Revenue on reclaiming VAT.
  • The 9% rate. VAT on food and catering services went from 13.5% back down to 9% on 1 July 2026 on a permanent basis, which is the first bit of good news the sector has had in a while. gov.ie announcement.

Grants: the honest answer

Nearly every guide to opening a restaurant in Ireland tells you to go to your Local Enterprise Office. For a café, restaurant or pub that's usually a dead end. The LEO's own guidance lists retail, personal services and local services as not eligible for grant aid, and some LEOs name cafés, restaurants, pubs and hotels explicitly as ineligible because they displace existing local business. Priming and Business Expansion grants are aimed at manufacturing and internationally traded services. LEO grant eligibility FAQ.

What is usually open to you: the capital allowances and VAT reclaim above, the Trading Online Voucher for your website side of things, and leasing to spread the cost. Check your own county's LEO for anything local, but don't build a budget around a grant you're not going to get.

Delivery, lead times and warranty

Delivery. Free delivery across all 32 counties on most products. In stock items are 1 to 5 working days depending on brand and stock location. Special order and imported items run from a few days up to 8 weeks depending on supplier lead times. Deliveries are kerbside with a one person crew, so no unpacking or positioning unless it's arranged in advance, and the delivery point needs to take a standard truck. Full detail on our delivery page.

On a multi item order we'll tell you the lead time on every single line before you pay, and we can hold the fast movers so everything lands together rather than trickling in over six weeks. Tell us your opening date and we'll work back from it.

Warranty. Everything comes with a manufacturer backed warranty and we've access to approved engineers across Ireland, the UK and the EU. The term runs from 1 to 3 years depending on the brand, some parts and labour, some parts only. It's set out brand by brand on our warranty and service page and we confirm it in writing on every item we quote.

Paying for it. If you'd rather spread the cost, leasing and finance are available to business customers. Fill in the finance application and you'll get an answer back within a day. There's also humm for smaller spends.

Send us your list

Quickest way to do this: tell us what you're opening, roughly how many covers, and your target opening date. We'll come back the same working day with a priced list, ex VAT, with the lead time and warranty on every item and a couple of cheaper or better alternatives where they exist. No obligation and no salesperson ringing you.

If you already have a spec list from a designer or architect, send it as it is and we'll price it line by line.

Questions we get asked

Do you install?

No. We supply and deliver. Gas, electrics, ductwork and positioning are for your own contractor or a fit out company. Most of our customers use their builder or a local refrigeration engineer for the connections, and we'll tell you honestly which items need an engineer and which plug in and go.

Can you price a spec list from my kitchen designer?

Yes, that's a lot of what we do. Send the list or the drawings and we'll come back item by item with our price ex VAT, the lead time, and where a different model does the same job for less.

New or second hand?

Second hand looks cheaper until the compressor goes in month four with no warranty and no engineer. On refrigeration especially, a used unit that can't hold 5°C in a hot kitchen is a failed inspection and a fridge full of binned stock. Buy new on anything that has to hold a temperature. Second hand is more defensible on stainless tables and shelving, where there's nothing to break.

Who takes the old equipment away?

Commercial catering and refrigeration equipment is business to business WEEE, not household, so the take back arrangement has to be agreed before you buy rather than assumed. Ask us when you're ordering and we'll tell you exactly what applies to your items.

Do you deliver outside Dublin?

All 32 counties, free on most products. Rural and island deliveries just need a quick check that a standard truck can get to the door.

Can everything arrive on the same day?

Often yes, and where lead times differ we'll stage it so you're not tripping over a combi oven for a month before the fridges land. Give us your opening date.

Is a full kitchen order handled differently to a single item?

Yes. One person takes the whole order end to end, so you're not chasing five separate email threads to find out where your freezer is. You get one priced list, one delivery plan built around your opening date, and one number to ring if anything needs sorting after.
