Blast Chillers & Shock Freezers

Blast Chillers and Blast Freezers (sometimes known as shock chillers or shock freezers) are strong industrial kitchen machines used to drastically decrease the length of time food spends in "the danger zone".

A blast chiller will rapidly reduce the temperature of cooked foods, improving their shelf life, texture, flavour, and nutritional content. Bacterial growth is slowed and food safety is improved by quick chilling.
